What WE DO
First Pick Guitar Lessons is a private guitar school based in a purpose built teaching studio in Bitterne Park, Southampton.
You'll have the opportunity to cover various genres of music including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Metal and Acoustic.
Learn your favourite songs, the theory behind them and what it is about the riffs and solos you love, that makes them great!
Any ability is welcome, from beginner, to advanced.
We also offer tuition for grades 1-8 with Trinity and Rockschool exam boards.
Lessons
Lessons will be either one hour long or half an hour long depending on your preference.
Lessons are available in person at the studio or via Zoom.
Opening Hours are:
Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 21:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 17:00
Sunday: Closed.
Prices are :
£25.00 per hour
£13.00 per half hour
Your Tutor
Lessons will be taught by Charlie Watkins, who has been teaching professionally in Southampton since 2017. Charlie has also been touring and playing live across the U.K and Europe for the last 8 years, playing in originals bands, function bands and theatre shows. Charlie has made appearances at Isle of Wight Festival, featured on BBC Radio 1, and has had tuition from Julian Michael (guitarist for Justin Bieber).
Charlie is a member of the Musicians Union and also has an enhanced DBS check.
